When commercial television first showed up, it was called "announcing".

Now it's called "station imaging" and today's television promo voices couldn't sound more different when compared to TV's Golden era.

Television voiceover, promos, news intros and event or community announcements are all immeasurably enhanced with the right voice talent. And if I'm doing my job right, the listener feels significantly more involved with your station while not even noticing I'm "in the room".

That's my goal, anyway.
